Christopher Pursley was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up dividing his life between his father in Louisiana and his mother in South Carolina. He is a long-time lover of art, photography, and the marshes of the South. Christopher’s educational background is his study of photography at The Portfolio Center in Atlanta, GA, and his study of technical theatre at Winthrop University in South Carolina. Most of his work in painting and abstract art are self-taught, and his unique perspectives and nuanced methods make his work unique yet gives one a feeling of home.

Christopher has had his work displayed on the cover of Louisiana Life Magazine and in small art galleries South Carolina. Christopher decided to move to the lovely low country town of Beaufort, SC in 2023, where he is expanding his artistic boundaries and making a name for himself in the art world.
