What does art mean to me?
I met a fellow artist the other day and we were comparing some of our creations. She looked at me and said, “Wow! You look so vanilla! No one would ever think all of this was inside of you!” I wasn’t sure if I should be insulted or flattered. My art is what I feel at the time. I tend to be experimental and am always trying something new. Many thoughts in my head begin with, “What if I tried ___________?” The blank is filled in differently each time the thought occurs. At 62 years old, I’m here to say that if you have ever thought it was too late to begin something new, it’s not! My talent is 62 years in the making.
